Dr Philip Druce BVSc (Veterinarian)

Hello my name is Philip. I established Auburn Veterinary Hospital in 1978 and have been here continuously ever since. I have a great interest in Animal Behaviour and all types of surgery in small animals.

I endeavour at all times to supply high quality, friendly and professional veterinary services.

My current pets are Ralphie, Pepsi, Frisbee and Bella (Dogs), Tinkerbell (Cat) and Hello (Alexandrian Parrot )

Dr Elizabeth Thompson (Veterinarian)

I graduated from Sydney University in 1990 with a degree in veterinary science. I became a vet because I have always loved animals and I wanted to help them. I have worked at Auburn veterinary hospital for two years. My current pets are two cats named Niccolo and Lymond and a bird named Earthbound Jim.

Rebecca Doherty (Head vet nurse)

Hi my name is Rebecca and I have been part of the Auburn Veterinary hospital team for the past 8 years. I love all animals, from mice, cats, dogs, birds and even snakes . I find caring for animals and watching them recover after an injury or illness very rewarding. I also enjoy making sure our boarding animals stay here is as comfortable as possible.

I have three dogs, four cats and two budgies. My other interests include grooming and rearing orphaned animals.

Elizabeth Druce (Vet student/nurse)

Hi my name is Liz and I have been a member of the Auburn Veterinary team for the past 8 years. I usually work on weekends, but during the week I am studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney. I have just finished third year and am due to graduate in 2010. Being Philip’s daughter I have been around animals my entire life and I couldn’t imagine life without them!

Like Philip, I have four dogs, one cat and parrot. My other interests include running and spending my time outdoors.

Miss Melon (Hospital dog)

Hello my name is Miss melon and I have been living at Auburn Vet for about 6 years now. I am the Hospital dog here and I love my home. I keep an eye on all the boarding animals and I love meeting and watching all the new people and animals that come in every day. I am very old so I don’t have many hobbies except for playing with the other dogs, dribbling and falling asleep in the sun. I also really love to eat even though I don’t have any teeth.
